DONATION INFORMATION FOR OPTICIANS
Are you an Optician looking to collect spectacles on behalf of Lions?
Want to know how your optician can get them to us?
Deliver in Person
If your optician is located in the South you may like to try the Chichester recycling centre. Please do contact them before you deliver as they are not always open and you must make an appointment to drop glasses in.
You can also try the Lions Birmingham Centre to deliver your glasses to, but again, please contact the Birmingham operation to make an appointment. You can contact them by phone on 0121 441 4544 or by email at nationalheadquarters@lionsclubs.co.uk
Post your Spectacles
Unfortunately, as Lions is a charity we cannot offer a FREEPOST service.
You can use a courier, your DX service or Royal Mail to make your deliveries. Again, do let us know you are sending glasses.
- Pack the specs loose in stout well sealed boxes, with a maximum weight of 10 kg.
- Address to Lions Clubs National Headquarters, 257 Alcester Road South, Kings Heath, Birmingham B14 6DT
- Please include your name, business address, date dispatched, and e-mail address (if possible), preferably on a separate sheet inside the parcel.
Don’t worry if you do not receive an acknowledgement – with so many deliveries we are not always able to respond to them all, although we do try.
If you are struggling to move your glasses to us please phone our Birmingham operation to see if help can be arranged.
If you let us know you are collecting specs on behalf of Lions please let us know and we will send you some posters and a Recycling for Sight sticker to go on your collection bin.
